Chair of the IP litigation practice before the US International Trade Commission (ITC), Eric S. Namrow litigates intellectual property cases in a wide variety of technologies and industries. Eric has particular experience handling Section 337 investigations before the ITC and representing companies in related proceedings before the Federal Circuit, Customs, and the Court of International Trade. Eric has represented complainants and respondents in more than 75 ITC investigations, including more than two dozen cases that have gone to trial.
Eric has experience litigating cases in the ITC and District Courts across the United States, as well as appeals to the Federal Circuit and the US Supreme Court. His experience encompasses all areas of IP litigation, including patents, trademark and trade dress, copyright, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition.
Global Intellectual Property magazine recently named Eric as among a handful of “international IP specialists” who has “an absolute command of the relevant technology” and “the ability to explain complicated science in a straightforward, simplified manner.” Likewise, Legal 500 described Eric as “a superstar IP lawyer and well respected by the staff at the ITC.” Eric frequently speaks, writes, and offers commentary on IP and ITC-specific issues. He has taught IP law as an adjunct at the University of Maryland School of Law.
